Did you know that the spiritual realm, as well as spirits are mentioned over two hundred times in the New Testament? This alone indicates a significant importance and warrants our attention. With this in mind, understanding the spiritual realm is a good place to start. It gives us a deeper look at what takes place behind the scenes, how it can and does affect people, and what resources we have available to get free and stay free.
Spiritual warfare is not so much about dealing with actual behavior as it is dealing with what’s instigating or motivating it. Strong indicators insinuate that most, if not all behavior is spirit influenced by either the Holy Spirit or another spirit.
As part of the healing process, areas of brokenness in a person’s life, as well as all other contributing factors must be addressed and properly dealt with if long-term freedom is expected. Once freedom is obtained, it needs to be maintained.
There are various degrees of spirit influence, affliction and control, all of which the challenged individual has a say in the matter.
